What's the difference between the 3 different types of tyrosinemia?
Although the result of each type of tyrosinemia is a buildup of tyrosine in the body due to an inability to catabolize it, the causes of each is different. Because the mutation is different in each one, they also tend to have some different symptoms. Tyrosinemia type I is the most common, followed by tyrosinemia type II.
